I’ve been natural for several years now and for the past year had been thinking about locs. I shied away because the whole process seemed overwhelming. A colleague walked in one day with the most beautiful locs I’ve ever seen, done by Hayah Beauty! I went for a consult at their gorgeous salon, and was greeted by name by everyone, was escorted to the waiting area, and within just a few minutes, was in the chair for my consult with stylist, Ralethia. She explained the process of their signature PeaceLocTM installation, answered every question I had and put me at ease with my decision to loc. I actually went back for another consultation before my appointment and was again greeted by name by everyone (very nice touch 😊). Ralethia was so patient with my million questions! Loc day arrived, 1/3/2025, and there are no words to describe how in love with my hair I am!! They are beautiful and full, swinging and shining! My concern was due to the fineness of my hair, I’d not have anything but scalp showing. Not even a whisper of scalp can be seen! The prices are great and I’m in it to win it!! Thank you to Darrius Peace, Ralethia, and the entire Hayah Beauty family ❤️❤️ I’m so glad to have started this journey!

Coming from Philly, I needed to get my hair done in BHM. From start to finish, the process and experience were both effortless and enjoyable. I booked online in minutes. The salon itself was warm and friendly; clean and elegantly simple. Everyone greets you with smiles. They definitely do natural hair styles. I needed a last-minute appointment for Saturday (before the event) but was able to get in on Friday. I booked a silk press, pin curl style with LaToya C. I didn't take many pics, but I love the style.

There are no words to describe the amazing experience I had at Hayah Beauty. Prior to this, I only had hair cuts. I was leery about the experience a bit. But from the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed. Darrius Peace is a master magician when it comes to hair. In a relatively short time he took the salt-n-pepper sheep's wool sitting atop my head and turned it into a signature "look"! And while he was working his magic, he continued to reinforce affirmations that were life-giving and affirming for real! If I could give him 20 stars, I flipping would. Love Hayah Beauty and Darrius Peace! They are masters - and the specialize in natural hair as well! If you are a guy who never had their hair done, just go. You'll be glad you did. If you have natural hair, just go, you'll be glad you did! Everybody, go see them ASAP for your new signature look!

It took FORTY-EIGHT years to find my home! Every team member made me remember how special I am. Other guests engaged as we were at our family reunion. I appreciate Raleitha's patience during my dissertation of questions as I embark on my Peace Loc journey:) Im thankful for Raleitha's heart & hands. Though there was a bit of a scheduling mix up, my stylist (Raleitha) and everyone in the shop was SO friendly and welcoming! Raleitha provided great service and was very intentional with her process. She was also such a kind person and fixed my bangs for no extra charge! Thanks Hayah Beauty!

Listen! Today was my first time and it was a whole Vibe! Everyone was so nice! Even at 7:00 am in the morning! Navorro was so welcoming and funny! I actually prayed and glad I listened to that still small voice. They got a new customer!

I love love love my styling sessions with Darrius! He helped me get over my fear and hesitation about taking the leap with my Sista Loc journey and I’ve never looked back. My hair stylist, Darrius Peace is amazing! He is knowledgeable and professional. Over 20 years of experience. Trusted! The Hayah Beauty Salon is located in Downtown Birmingham. The salon is gorgeous with beautiful lighting and exposed brick. The salon vibe is great! Consistent, friendly customer service from the start of your visit to leaving. I can say more!!
